Yes! Even though your Builder provides a one year workmanship and material warranty ( some have a two year program ), and The Alberta New Home Warranty Programs backs that First Year Material and Workmanship Warranty, there are year round and periodic maintenance issues that you need to address:

1. Surface Water Management - lot grade to have positive drainage away fromthe home, eaves anddownspouts are operational, cleaning of window wells, sump discharge positioned and draining away from the home.

2. Telepost adjustment.

3. Clean furnace filter and mechancal air handling systems

Each seaon has separate maintenance requirements. Here, I am only addressing the winter.
